The trick to making collard greens taste divine is this little condiment I had never seen before ... tabasco pepper vinegar. This jar of Bruce's is packed with white tabasco peppers. The effect is stunning.
That's my kind of cooking (and eating)! How's the fried chicken? That's what I miss most up here. I can make my own sweet potato pie (with a splash of bourbon, please) and collards, but good fried chicken . . . lucky you!
